Card game design for creatives to tackle creative burnout
Refrigerator, a 3-6 player card game, utilizes the interconnectivity that games uniquely provide with strong, contemporary typographic style and encourages artistic exploration, friendly competition, as well as collaboration to create unique art pieces.
The visual style of the game is inspired by ‘play’. The typography has a 3D texture reminiscent of letter magnets on a refrigerator, a nostalgic memory in many childhoods of learning the alphabet and pinning up artwork and accomplishments on the refrigerator. The crayon doodles contrasting with the structured text and format of the receipts beneath juxtapose the art of childhood and adulthood.
